Homes Under the Hammer is a BBC TV show featuring houses which are sold at auction and then renovated to either rent or sell for profit. In this episode a Your Property Consultant client purchased a house and asked Paul for his advice on how to maximise the property's potential.

The house was tired, dated, had minor damp and was in dire need of a facelift. Paul advised the client to renovate the kitchen and bathroom, treat the damp and redecorate throughout. A budget of £5-6,000 was suggested to enable the job to be done both well and quickly. The experts on the show agreed with Paul's assessment, stating "Paul has sized up the correct amount of investment to get the property earning" and "he is a property guardian angel!"

The work carried out by Your Property Consultant not only pleased the client, but was a main selling point in the opinion of local property experts from sale and rental estate agencies. One clearly stating 'the bathroom is good'. Although the house could have been sold for a considerable profit at this point, the client chose to retain it as a rental investment. Your Property Consultant's involvement in the project was a major contributing factor to the speedy and successful rental of the house.

The client was so impressed with the work carried out that he stated he would definitely use Your Property Consultant on his next project.
